As SAN JUAN ISLANDERS, we have much for which to be THANKFUL, not excluding an extremely curious and rich local history.
Did You Know???
Roche Harbor was not just about processing limestone!
John S. McMillin, president of the Roche Harbor Lime and Cement Company from 1886 to 1936, also maintained the Bellevue Poultry Farm at the head of Westcott Bay, near the entrance to Roche Harbor Village.
Bellevue Poultry Farm raised and marketed a variety of fowl, including turkeys.
In honor of Thanksgiving, we present to you the Bellevue King and friends.

Definitely worth a visit!
